The opposing sides of a plane exist in paradox. If the plane were the surface of a vase, the outer surface would be a continuum of the inner wall, and the inner wall would be a continuum of the outer surface. Both sides of the vase share the same site.

内に外に─身体のパラドックス

一枚の面体の表裏は、パラドックスである。面を、ひとつの壷に例えるならば、内面は外面へと続き、外面は内面へと続いている。壷の両面は、共有された場である。
